"Beginnings are usually the sweetest, well not in our case"
Here at www.EverythingWeddings.co we love nothing more than a good love story, and thankfully bride and groom Muhannad and Dunia are sharing theirs with us today.
Here is how their love grew till their wedding day, even though it didn't seem like it would at first.
Muhannad told Everything Weddings: Our story kind of went the other way around, we were uni friends, always getting on each others nerves, we even make it a point to spite one another to a point where we couldn't even be in the same room anymore!
After we separated and stopped seeing each other, it made us realize how deeply connected we actually were, and that is where the story began.
Like any couple in love we tried to map out all of the details of our big day, the guest list, the set up and everything in between.
Until a pandemic took over the world.
It took us moments to realize that our plans were changed forever, and we decided to postpone our wedding until this strange virus leaves us alone and allows us to celebrate the way we want to.
We can't deny the shock we both felt when we saw the first Corona wedding, as it was like nothing we are used to, but we appreciated the love behind those celebrations that made them not want to wait another day!
we started going through all of the different scenarios of what we could do without breaking the law or getting in trouble, and of course our families were not happy about the whole 50 person wedding idea, which lead to countless issues and arguments.
Then we were in for another shock when my best friend, and best man got stuck in Spain which was a red country at the time, meaning he couldn't come anytime soon, the feeling of going through the biggest most important day of your life without someone you feel is a brother to you is heartbreaking, but he was constantly with us on Facetime, in the planning period and the wedding itself.
Finally after two months of planning and being faced with a different set of rules every other day, we had a garden wedding with 20 people which were family and our friends from university days.
Wedding furniture from class events My favorite production team Utopia Saleem Fakhouri Sound and light with Firas Anki Catering was from Al Bayt al lubnani Om khalil
Lastly my advice to couples these days is don’t listen to any advice from any negative, toxic, fake friends!
Just do it in silence let the happiness make the noise!
Thank you to the lovely couple for sharing details of their big day with us, we wish you a lifetime of love and happiness.
