Yara Kawar Chammas Elegant Italian Wedding

Updated: Nov 20, 2022

A destination wedding is no easy feat and today’s bride shows that she’s got what it takes to make her dream wedding come true! Yara Kawar Chammas tells us all about her Italian wedding in one of the most romantic places in the world and her favorite moments from her big day.

Here’s what she had to say to www.everythingweddings.co

Tell us about your wedding look:

Dress: Petra Lee

Hair & makeup: Giorgia Bertoldi (“amazing Italian stylist!”)

Headpiece: My mother wore it on her wedding day as a crown which I reused as a headpiece.

Tell us about the inspiration behind your dress. Was it easy or hard to find your dream dress?

It was actually not the style I was looking for. I went into the first boutique with a low V/open back and the stylist asked if I can try my dress on and I fell in love. I thought I should keep looking just Incase and 5 places later it stayed in my heart and decided to go with it.

Where did you have your wedding and what was the theme?

Our wedding was in Villa Miani in Rome, Italy. In my mind the theme was all white, royal, and elegant. We searched for a venue that was beautiful and in itself architectural and historical which barely needed decorations.

What was your favorite moment of the wedding?

I can’t even pinpoint a moment. It was all so overwhelming and passed by so quickly that it felt like I was dreaming. But I would say walking down the aisle and seeing the love of my life at the end of it with all our loved ones around us with the incredible backdrop.

What was the hardest part of planning the wedding?

Planning a wedding is probably one of the most stressful things I’ve done, let alone a destination wedding. But the guest list and seating and the worry of everything going perfectly as I pictured it.

What was the best song to dance to?

Can’t decide! I love dancing and I didn’t stop. But one of my close friends Omar Shukri sang Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You at our wedding and I would say that meant a lot to me as me and my husband danced as he sang. And of course our first dance to The Way You Look Tonight!

Thank you to the lovely couple for sharing moments of their big day with us. We wish them a lifetime of love and happiness!
